Canadian conservation organizations and government entities that work in geographies popular with Americans and/or where US taxpayers own priority conservation properties will benefit from becoming Grantees of American Friends. Being qualified as a Grantee demonstrates that your organization is capable of protecting lands owned by Americans. And you can offer the opportunity for financial contributors to make a gift of cash or securities that is deductible against US income. Grantees have access to information and tools that are not available to the general public. For more information see our Overview for Conservation Organizations.
Grantees invest in cross-border conservation through their modest annual renewals, which are easily recovered from charitable gifts. Be part of the network of Canadian organizations and affiliated professionals who are ensuring American Friends will be a sustainable and strong partner in the future. Together we are demonstrating to funders that cross border conservation is strategic and important.

How your organization can apply to become a Grantee:
- Complete a grantee application form
- Submit the required documentation outlined in the application form and checklist
- Include the grantee application fee payable in US funds – $350 for cash grants (General Support only), $500 for grants of land/easements (Conservation Land only) or $800 for both

An annual renewal fee is required to maintain your Grantee status ($150 US for General Support, $250 US for Conservation Land or $300 US for both programs).
