The LaHave Coastal Conservation Association (LCCA) conserves land and habitats around the mouth of the LaHave River in Nova Scotia.
LaHave Coastal boosts biodiversity by actively restoring habitats and educating the public about approaches to restoring and protecting these unique ecosystems in perpetuity.
LaHave Coastal focuses its efforts on
- Helping the public recognize the impacts of centuries of human activity on forest and coastal ecosystems,
- Helping landowners understand how to restore biodiversity in Acadian forests and coastal ecosystems, and
- Protecting habitats through purchasing and receiving donations of land and conservation easements.
