The LBHF is a community-based non-profit organization protecting the natural, built and cultural heritage of Lake of Bays, including the Township area and watershed. Founded by permanent and seasonal residents in 1985, we are also a certified member of the Ontario Land Trust Alliance. We are a registered charity and issue tax receipts for donations.
Operated by a volunteer Board, the Foundation encourages the protection of our heritage through education, voluntary stewardship, conservation easements, land donations and land acquisitions. We focus on the long-term preservation of heritage for future generations and maintain a close working relationship with the Township, the Lake of Bays Association and other conservation groups.
